Dream: 4/16/2021

I found myself alone with my husband, sitting on the ground of an unknown forest. I’m assuming it was somewhere in South America from the culture that surrounded us. There were several people around us, busy, doing different things. Some were making wooden spoons; others bowls. Some were writing on the ground with sticks; while others were humming to songs in their heads. I couldn’t understand what we were doing there.

We began to walk towards the forest, through a trail (like a hiking trail). There was a line of people moving forward and a line going back the other way. While walking, I began to have a horrible feeling that we were being held captive. Telepathically, I began to communicate to my husband that I wasn’t comfortable with the situation and we should try to move quickly. Although it was telepathic, it was almost as if I had said it out loud. As I turned my head around to tell my husband to hurry up, everyone just stopped and placed all their eyes on us. It was terrifying. My heart literally sank to my stomach.

At that point, my husband and I began to run towards what looked like an abandoned shed towards the end of the trail. As we approached it, we noticed that the door was wide open. “Hello, is anyone here“, shouted my husband as we entered the shed. The shed was pretty empty. Only a small dining table and 1 chair. There was, however, a wall to the left hand side of the front door, filled with small televisions from floor to ceiling. My husband and I stared in disgust as we realized what they were televising. “They’ve been watching us the whole time!”, said my husband. We were being watched in real time. Everyone from all over the world was on display (reading, showering, out on a date, arguing, laughing, losing a loved one, having sex, etc.) Children and women were shown being trafficked and killed. It was devastating!

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.”
Mahatma Gandhi
My husband, still in despair, pulled out the chair from underneath the table and sat down. “What are you doing? This is what they want. Get up and let’s go!” I shouted. I ran towards a door in the back of the shed. When I opened the door, I realized that there was no other way out. I was back at the beginning of the trail. I turned around to tell my husband and I see a woman (a mail handler) standing behind a counter up against the wall. The counter was covered in individual bags of rubber bands. I walked over to the counter, grabbing a handful of bags, and began to throw them at the lady as she laughed at me. Soon after my dream had ended.
