“Can we talk?”

I want to begin by saying that everything that exists around us, exists simultaneously with the spiritual world. I know that this is a difficult concept to grasp, but it couldn’t be any truer. Much like love which cannot be seen, only felt, as is the spiritual realm. Although we may notice, or not, the spirit world is always trying to communicate with us. Is there someone that is trying to communicate with you? You may ask a particular question and receive an answer through a friend, a song that came up on the radio, a random thought that popped into your head, or perhaps even in a dream.

Last nights dream was very short, but straight to the point. I was invited to an old friends house for their daughters 7th birthday party. Everyone was gathered in the living room to watch Grace (Not her real name), open up her presents. Her mother Simon (Not her real name), was sitting next to her in excitement, waiting to see her open her gift. There was something about this particular gift that had all of my attention. In the box she was opening, was one Walkie Talkie. Grace started to show her mother in excitement! Simon said to Grace,  “Wow, what a coincidence! I just went to the store this week and bought the same one. Let me get it out of my purse.” The dream was over shortly thereafter.

Feelings of worry started to overwhelm me. Walkie Talkies symbolize communication. It is a desire to express something, or to alert someone about a particular matter, or a conflict. This is a way for your subconscious to send you a message about a particular deed you will need to perform in the near future. Someone will entrust you with something personal, but you need to make sure you understand the consequences before you accept. In this dream, we were celebrating a friends 7th birthday.  Seven is a sign of success, or even triumph. It’s saying that it is time for you to move ahead and up through your knowledge and wisdom. It represents the spiritual maturity that has been acquired, through a long learning cycle. This happens to be one of the most significant numbers in the bible, which is marked on every work of God. Seven also represents a “Seeker“, or “the searcher of truth“. Seven likes to prove that nothing is always what it seems, and that reality is often hidden behind illusions.

Collectively, when the walkies are seperate, it is my symbol for a lack of communication between two people. Either someone doesn’t want to talk, or there is a misunderstanding. Being that this was “hanging over my head”, I decided to contact my friends and make sure everything was okay. Sadly, I learned that they are currently going through a divorce. Although the answers we find aren’t always the ones we’d  hope for,  the spirit world will send them in order for us to help others, lend an ear, or perhaps share a few words of hope to those in need. I believe that we are all tools we can use. “People need People” to get by for comfort, support, to love and be loved, to share with, to learn from, to guide and be guided, to feel wanted, etc. Maybe this task I was given, may not have significance for some, but maybe for someone, this simple task meant the world.
